Research Focus

I am broadly interested in understanding how patterns of neural activity in the visual system give rise to perception. In the Kwan lab, my research focuses on how psilocybin, a serotonergic psychedelic compound, alters the visual tuning properties of excitatory and inhibitory neurons in the mouse visual cortex. By combining calcium imaging with computational analyses of neuronal responses to visual stimuli, I aim to uncover how psilocybin modulates sensory processing at the circuit level.
