Research Focus
Cognitive maps, hippocampus, AI, reinforcement learning
My research combines 2P imaging, computational neuroscience, and machine learning to examine the dynamics of cognitive map formation and state representation in the mouse hippocampus. I also build computational models to understand large-scale neural and animal behavior data, and aim to use these models to distill principles for learning, modifying, and utilizing world models in both artificial and biological systems.
