Research Focus
I am broadly interested in how social behavior and sensory integration intersect to shape animal societies. My multidisciplinary background spans behavioral ecology, the evolution of eusociality, and molecular neuroscience. I’m particularly interested in understanding why and how animals coordinate their actions within social groups. I work in the Sheehan lab, where I study paper wasps. My research focuses on the progression and coordination of their seasonal behaviors, as well as the neurogenetic underpinnings of winner/loser effects across closely related species.
